Such a Long Trip:
A Tail from Rocky Mountain National Park
A Tail from Rocky Mountain National Park
It was such a long trip.
I tried hard to get a grip.
We road all day,
There were eight or so I’d say.
We were piled in the RV.
It was quite a sight to see!
Where were we going you might ask?
To Rocky Mountain National Park, at last!
We road all day,
In hopes to see the display.
What would be in store?
Lets hope for animals galore!
Through the curves and trees,
With my families expertise.
We road all day,
Until finally a disarray!
Cars were quickly stopping.
My eyes were out and popping.
Shouts were heard all over
About the Moose that stood along the clover.
It was then I saw
The beast that made them awe.
I had to get up there.
The others would not dare.
My mom and aunt weren’t pleased,
But I continued to tease.
The closer I wandered,
The more they squandered.
All I wanted was a photograph.
For the thing was as tall as a giraffe
I got a close shot, but there was no time to stay.
For I didn’t want to see the creature in dismay.
The crowds went away,
And the Moose, he did stay.
What he would do?
Only wilderness knew.
My encounter with the giant sir
Caused quite a stressful stir.
Just what I needed
On this long journey that proceeded.
It was back to the Fam
And the crowded RV jam.
